"Little By Little" or "All at Once?"

There are two ways to explain something: “little by little” or “all at once.” Most people who know something BIG and juicy want to tell everything all at once… You have to hear the whole thing at once from beginning to end.
But there’s another way to explain a message or tell a story: This way requires a great deal more patience – tell it little by little… Through repeated exposures and little bits and pieces here and there… You’d have to know a person for a while to get the full story… But might “get it” on a deeper level over time.
What’s interesting is that God seems to go for the latter… Jesus wasn’t so interested that people got the WHOLE message all at once, as long as they got a piece of it – a piece they could digest. This is why the Bible is so long (with at least three different languages spanning more than a thousand years) – it’s a big story – that can’t be digested all at once. The only way to really digest a BIG message is one little bite at a time…
