Summer in the City
May 23rd, 2008 by ljkim
One thing I learned from living in Manhattan (before Grace and moved to Sunnyside, Queens) is that Memorial Day weekend is the best time to be in the city… It’s a bad time to be on the highway, but a good time to be in the city! …So many people leave to hit the shore(s) that Manhattan is a lot quieter than it normally is… Quiet – but still very much alive. Kind of like us…
Sundays are also very much alive this summer – we’re just getting started here (still adjusting a bit to the new Sunday morning routine)… In a couple of weeks we’ll start a Friday night fellowship group. Not sure where we’ll meet for that yet – so stay tuned. But Sunday mornings @ 11:11 are easy: Just find your way to 873 Broadway (bet 18-19th St)…When you get to the front door there will be a sign telling you to buzz #0020 – and when you get to the 4th floor you’ll see more signs pointing you to Room 408 – that’s us! Look forward to seeing you!
[About the photo: There's always plenty of parking Sunday morning right out front! Although, take the subway if you can...they're right out front too.]
